Do you have a neighbor who goes all Clark Griswold with holiday lights each year or are you the person to beat on the block? Does your neighborhood have a great light display? Well then ... snap a picture! This holiday season, we're calling on all local residents to participate and help choose the photo that most represents real Colorado-style holiday spirit. Share your holiday lights photo for a chance to win!
Welcome to The Gazette's Holiday Lights photo contest.
How does it work?
Share your photos then view the entries and vote for your favorite.
Can I still play if the contest has already started?
Yes. You can enter this contest anytime before December 27.
How many photos can I enter?
You can upload two images for each registration. Limit of one registration per household.
Is there a prize?
Yes. The entry who receives the most votes will win a $500 prize courtesy of Renewal by Andersen that can be used toward their utility bill or whatever warms the winner up! 2nd and 3rd place will receive $250 and $100 respectively.
Who can enter?
Anyone residing in the immediate delivery of The Gazette or 60 mile radius of Colorado Springs, Colorado.
This holiday season, you are reminded to consider the following tips to help protect
our environment:
Use light emitting diode (LED) holiday lights to save energy and money
Use a live Christmas tree and plant it after the holidays
Recycle all appropriate decorating products
Visit websites that exclusively offer “green” products such as recycled
gift-wrapping, greeting cards, gift boxes, etc.
Give a “green” charity donation on behalf of friends and family as a gift option
Contest winner will be chosen based on the votes of local residents who can
view the submissions and vote online, allowing the entire community a chance to take part in this holiday contest from The Gazette.
